The setting
Our luxury RiverBed & SeaBed lodges are either located within fairy-tale woods complete with tumbling river and ancient trees or perched above glorious Loch Linnhe. Both enjoy the majesty of a mountain backdrop and offer complete privacy within nature. Guests are encouraged to relax and reconnect while star-gazing from their own private sunken hot tub.
If you can bear to tear yourself away from the Woodlands Estate, the local area is just about as romantic as possible. Over the centuries, Glencoe has been continually referred to as one of the UK’s most romantic locations. In 1850, the Edinburgh based artist William Home Lizars wrote “the scenery in Glencoe is the wildest and most romantic of any of the Highlands, or perhaps the British Isles”.
The mouth of Glencoe can be reached within five minutes of the Woodlands Estate, so remember to pack your walking boots or wellies and enjoy the many local walks the glen has to offer.
The lodges
When it came to the design and layout of our lodges, we wanted to truly deliver in the romance department. The bijoux design and location of RiverBeds & SeaBeds nurtures a feeling of protection and cosiness. A place where guests can relax and be themselves. It is this intimate atmosphere, coupled with the mood lighting, luxury cosmetics, prosecco and super soft bedlinen and bathrobes, that keeps our loved up, romance seeking couples returning time and time again.
The extras
If the above still doesn’t offer enough romance for your liking, we’ve also created an entire plethora of romantic extras for guests to embrace! From late checkouts and luxury chocolates to beds bejewelled with rose petals, we’ve really gone the “extra” mile. Hell, we even add the occasional saucy romance package to the list!
