What’s on at Woodlands Golf Course?

Whether you’re a Woodlands Golf Course guru or a never-been-before newbie, there’s fun times galore to be had on the Woodlands greens throughout 2024.  This is your call to dust off your clubs and prepare to putt, chip, and drive your way into some seriously good golfing adventures this coming season.  Here’s what we have in store for members and non-members alike throughout 2024.

Events in 2024

Greenskeepers Revenge Day – Sunday 28th April

Back by popular demand!  We’re excited to announce that Greenkeeper’s Revenge Day will be returning on Sunday 28th April.

This hilarious event will see our Greenkeeper, Jonny Henshall, get his own back by laying a few ‘choice’ obstacles around the course, as well as moving tees to weird locations and cutting brand new holes in outrageous places!  This will be a fun event in Texas Scramble (teams of four) format with a 9-hole shotgun start!  Remember to bring along your sense of humour!

Ladies Open – Saturday 18th May

Ladies, gather your clubs and join us as we celebrate the sports[wo]manship, dedication and talent of female golfers on Sunday 19th May.  Females of all ages and abilities are welcome at this year’s open.

Seniors Open – Sunday 2nd June

One for the over 55s!  Join us for an exciting day of golf as we host the Seniors Golf Open, a tournament bringing together seasoned golfers from across Lochaber and beyond!  This event aims to celebrate the talent, experience and camaraderie within the senior golfing community.

Dragon’s Tooth Open – Sunday 7th July

This summer’s Golf Open promises exhilarating competition, breath-taking scenery, and unmatched camaraderie for golf enthusiasts of all levels. the 18-hole stableford competition is set to make for a great day’s golf.

Texas Scramble – Sunday 1st September

Join us for the thrilling finale of the year, the Texas Scramble Golf Tournament, where competition and skill converge for an unforgettable day on the greens!  As the last event of the year at Woodlands Golf Course, this tournament promises to be an exhilarating conclusion to the golfing season.

Texas Scramble is a team event where each player hits from the tee, the best shot is selected, and all team members play their next shot from that spot. This format fosters teamwork and allows golfers of all levels to enjoy the game together.

🏌️‍♀️ Clubs and equipment are available to hire.  All ages and abilities welcome.  

£ All events are free for club members and RiverBeds & SeaBeds Luxury Lodge guests.  £15 per person for anyone else. 

☕️  Tea / coffee and snacks will be served in the clubhouse from 8am.

🏅 There’ll be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and vouchers for ‘nearest the pin’ and ‘longest drive’.

Plant a tree near on your favourite course!

A reminder that ALL Woodlands Golf Course members are treated to a complimentary native tree, which will be planted on the course.  You will then be given a link to an interactive map where you can see your tree’s location and further details.  Please get in touch if you’d like a tree planted in your honour!

Dragon’s Circle membership

Named after the mountain range that towers behind the Woodlands Golf Course (Beinn a’ Bheithir) and the legendary local dragon (Bheithir), our Dragon’s Circle membership is available to anyone living 35+ miles from the Woodlands Estate with no local property.

Similar to an International, Overseas or Associate membership at other courses, this recurring annual membership will help to support nature and wildlife projects across the Woodlands Estate.

Being part of the Dragon’s Circle, you will become a recognised members of one of the most spectacular 9-hole golf courses in Scotland and make Woodlands Glencoe your home-away-from-home Scottish Club. Members will receive an authentic Certificate of Membership and can play as often as they like when visiting (club hire included).

What’s more, a native Scottish tree will be planted in your honour and will be listed on our tree map!
