Reconnect, restore and relax in the Scottish Highlands
At Woodlands Wellness, our mission is simple: to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and feel better. Set against the dramatic backdrop of Glencoe, our newly constructed private hilltop sauna is designed for full-body renewal, blending centuries-old traditions with the breathtaking serenity of the Scottish Highlands. Whether you’re seeking a restorative pause during your travels, or an invigorating complement to a massage treatment, our sauna offers a uniquely calming escape.
A sauna in Glencoe like no other
The Wilderness Sauna was crafted in Finland and follows traditional Löyly principles — prioritising steam, stillness and a multi-sensory connection to the elements. From the wide glass window enjoy panoramic views across Loch Linnhe into the mountains as soft Highland light pours into the space.
Each sauna session can comfortably seat three people, or four if you are happy with cosying up, and includes everything you need to complete your ritual of steam:
💧 A cold plunge pool for a refreshing, heart-pounding reset
💦 Two traditional bucket showers
🚿 A modern outdoor shower for gentler transitions
👕 A comfortable changing area
🌄 A private hilltop setting
🎟️ From £49.95 per 1 hour session
Designed for deep wellness
Our sauna experience is about more than heat — it’s about letting go. The heat soothes tired muscles, eases tension, and invites stillness. The cold rinse energises, refreshes, and sharpens the senses. The combination improves circulation, clears the mind, and leaves you feeling balanced and renewed — a true Highland wellness experience.
Our sauna is available to both overnight guests and day visitors. We recommend advance booking, especially during peak travel periods. Whether you’re visiting Glencoe for adventure, retreat, or rest — this is your invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
Shared Sauna Sessions
There’s something special about sharing the warmth of a sauna. In Finland, saunas aren’t just about heat and steam – they’re about community, friendship, and taking time together to relax. We’re bringing that same tradition to Woodlands with our shared early-morning sauna sessions, designed for locals and our own team to enjoy a restorative hour in good company.
For just £10 per person, you’ll have a full 60-minute session in our handcrafted Finnish sauna. The session is shared with up to 4 people, making it a chance to meet others, unwind alongside friends, or simply soak up the atmosphere of communal wellness.
⏰ 2 slots to choose from: 5:30-6:30 and 6:35-7:35

Jame's top tip
"Time your session for sunset, when golden light settles on the loch, or wait for clear skies and soak in the warmth under a canopy of Highland stars. These sessions are popular and are often booked in advance, if you can get a slot it's worth it."
Pair with a bespoke massage for the ultimate spa day in Glencoe
For a deeper level of restoration, we recommend pairing your sauna session with one of our Bespoke Luxury Massages or Treatments. Warming your muscles beforehand allows your therapist to work more deeply and intuitively, enhancing the effectiveness of the treatment.
Our full range of massage therapies includes aromatherapy, deep tissue, Thai and reiki and are all available within the cosy confines of Woodlands Wellness.
