Where is good for dining out?
What’s the location like?
RiverBeds and SeaBeds provide wondrous lodges on the Woodlands Glencoe estate. This special 36 acre site is nestled at the foot of the mighty “thunderbolt mountains”, with the dramatic peak known as “Dragon’s Tooth” forming part of the ridge.
There is a Golf Course which forms part of the estate which leads down to the lochside at Loch Linnhe.
There are easy walks just from the doorstep, as well as some fascinating historic sites on the estate, or near it. Jump into your car for a few minutes, and there are other superb walks to discover nearby. The famous Glencoe Valley is only a 5 minute drive away and the mighty Ben Nevis sits proudly only 20 miles north-east of the estate.
What’s there to do?
Some simply love the romance of the place and spend happy times journeying between hot tub and bed.
Here, you are in the heart of the Outdoor Capital of the UK and there is so much on offer. From Ben Nevis, to the famous Jacobite Steam Train to Mallaig, to magical Mull and her white sand beaches.
All about us is dramatic Glencoe, and there is so much to see and do in the area. Just vist our local marketing group website for oodles of info.
Our own doorstop favourites are : The Glencoe Lochan, Bishops Bay, Castle Stalker and the Arisaig beaches. And it’s so easy to forget the best things are available right from outside your lodge.

Are you open in all seasons?
Roads do tend to stay open even in snowy conditions, but we recommend checking the Traffic Scotland and Met Office Weather websites before departing just to be sure.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
The cancellation policy depends on the type of booking and the package offered. We recommend that all guests carry travel insurance to protect against personal emergencies outside our control.
We do offer two “peace of mind” cancellation options for bookings via our own website (presented during the shopping basket process).
Can I stay for 7 nights or more?
What should I bring?
Do you have electric car charging facilities?
We currently have two 22kw electrical charging points for Woodlands Glencoe guests, which are fully compatible with all type 2 electric cars (Charge Place Scotland – 53510). The full charge time for your car will vary depending on the size of your battery. Once your car is fully charged we ask you move it to a regular parking space.
I've never done Segway before, can I still do the tour?
Yes! Of course! You may begin your tour as a novice but you will end it as a Segway Pro! Our amazing guides will help you build your confidence until you are gliding like you were born to glide!
My child is under the weight limit, does that mean they definitely can't come?
We are pretty strict on the minimum weight limit on a Segway because the most important thing about gliding on a Segway is being in control, so you have to be heavy enough to maneuver it safely. With that being said, come on down and our lovely receptionists can check if a member of your group close to the minimum weight limit would be able to take part!
Is your café open?
Sadly, our café will not reopen. However, as a visitor to Woodlands you can use our Lounge between 8am and 9pm – which has free wifi and is a super cosy space to relax.
Can we use your facilities?
Our lounge and toilets are open – and you are more than welcome to use them!
