Our aim was to create a castle inside a cabin; amazing guest feedback since suggests we succeeded, and then some! Inside, it’s like a Tardis. Each RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodge is uniquely different. Only 12 square metres, yet a feeling of real space and great comfort. Cannily crafted, with everything thought of and all so perfectly engineered. The lodge has a bedroom, kitchenette and en-suite shower room, all in one! Plus, you can enjoy deep silence because of the thick insulation and warm wooden floors. Sink into the Simba™ hybrid mattress and snuggle into Egyptian cotton sheets – luxury is our specialty and we’ve created the perfect atmosphere for romance.
The Wee Lodge is packed with luxury electrics – brilliant coffee machine, powerful microwave and designer toaster. And of course there’s a TV and mini-fridge, too. The en-suite shower room is a wet room with toilet: it’s not a big area (certainly no room for the cat to swing), but the water is hot and the towels are lovely!
When included in your reservation, breakfast is brought to your Wee Lodge each morning: a delicious selection of warm croissants, bread for toasting and a homemade granola pot. Bliss.

Every hot tub is powered by a heat pump, which uses 1/4 of the energy compared to traditional hot tub heater.

Frequently asked questions
What kitchen facilities are available in RiverBeds?
RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges are bijou, but they are cannily crafted to contain all you require for a getaway, including a microwave, coffee machine, toaster, small fridge, crockery, cutlery and a work surface area for meal preparation. If you’re looking to cook more of a hearty meal than a microwave can provide, why not consider hiring a BBQ for the fire pit?
What's included in my RiverBeds reservation?
All RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodge reservations include a private hot tub, television, WiFi, bed linen, towels, mood lighting, hair dryer, kitchen facilities, WC/shower room, lotions & potions and coffee machines with quality pods.
Please remember that if you book directly on our website or over the telephone, you will receive a complimentary drink of your choice at the Clubhouse Bar and bathrobes! Please note: the only time we would not include complimentary goodies is if you’ve booked one of our lowest promotional rates, however our goodies can be added as a discounted ‘luxury extras’ bundle (keep an eye on your email confirmation for the link).
Can I bring pets?
At Woodlands, we love your furry friends and they are very welcome to join you on your stay with. Read more about our pet friendly lodges with hot tubs here.
We do ask for a £50 contribution to cleaning costs per stay.
Please remember that our Wee RiverBed lodges are not, er . . . big. You alongside two Deer Hounds might find it tight.
If you are bringing your furry friend and would like to have them up on the bed, please bring a dog blanket to protect our lovely sheets!
Can I park directly outside RiverBeds?
RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges do not have their own designated parking spaces; however, there are two communal carparks available (with ample space), which are located less than a one minute walk from the lodges.
Is there a concierge service available?
If you are planning on arriving by public transport, please be aware that we do not offer a concierge service so do bear this in mind if you are arriving with lots of luggage. If the reception team are available to assist you, they are very happy to help you with your belongings; however, this isn’t always guaranteed if the team are very busy.
Are there laundry facilities available at RiverBeds?
Unfortunately, the lodges do not contain laundry facilities. However, there are numerous laundrettes in both Fort William and Oban should you require this service.
Is there a shop nearby?
Although it feels like we’re a million miles away from anything, there’s plenty of shopping options nearby. The local village Co-op contains all the essential and it’s just a 5-minute drive away. Further afield, there are several large supermarkets in Fort William, which is a 20-minute drive away.
Are there any differences between RiverBeds?
Yes, there are a number of differences between RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges and we would advise you to read through this handy blog which details the similarities and differences. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee you will be allocated a specific lodge; however, if you have a preference, please do let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your wishes.
Do RiverBeds contain irons?
No, RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges do not contain irons; however, an iron and ironing board is available upon request. Please ask reception and somebody will deliver to your lodge.
Will the sound of the river disrupt my sleep?
Despite the proximity to the river (some lodges actually overhang the water!), the lodges are surprisingly quiet. RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges are highly insulated and contain quality soundproofing meaning the rumble of the river can only be heard if you leave the door open.
Occasionally, after extremely high levels of rainfall, you may hear the rumble of rocks beneath the lodges, but this is a rarity.
How far are RiverBeds from Woodlands Wellness, Wilderness Sauna, the Activity Centre & Kitchen Food Truck & Bar?
RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges are situated in the heart of the Woodlands Estate so whichever lodge you’re allocated, you’ll be close to all the action. Even the furthest away lodges are less than a five minute meander from the Kitchen Food Truck & Bar, Woodlands Wellness, the Wilderness Sauna and Activity Centre.
Do RiverBeds contain televisions?
They sure do! Flat screen televisions are available in all RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges where you can tune into a range of terrestrial channels. The televisions do not connect to NetFlix, Apple TV etc, but the WiFi signal is very good so do bring along your own devices if you’re in the mood to binge watch your favourite shows during your stay at RiverBeds.
What's included in the breakfast basket?
If your reservation includes breakfast, your breakfast basket will be silently dropped off outside your lodge each morning. The baskets are filled with pastries, bread for toasting, a little cheese, butter and jam. There’s also fresh orange juice and granola topped with greek yoghurt and fruit compote.
