Electric bike (e-bike) hire 🚲
The Sustrans Caledonia Way passes right through the estate, offering miles and miles of stunning, peaceful cycle tracks to explore right from our doorstep. Head off down towards Oban, passing historic Duror, beautiful Appin and easily diverting to Lismore Island. Alternatively, head up behind the estate to explore the trails in the Glenachulish Woodland and to get a great view over the point where Loch Linnhe meets Loch Leven.
Our e-bikes help ease the strain when riding uphill, allowing you to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Our team will ensure you are properly kitted out and will point you in the right direction.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an age limit for activities?
Segway tours: there’s no age limit; however segway riders must weigh over 45kg. This is because you have to be a certain weight to control the Segway, especially on our fabulous track which goes up and down hills.
Golf: Under 15s must be accompanied by an adult. There are children’s clubs available for hire, if you’ve left yours at home!
Archery: 6+ If you have younger children and they’d like to come and watch, they are more than welcome and we can make it fun for them too!
Axe Throwing: 18 years old minimum age.
E-bike hire: The legal age for riding an e-bike is 14+ and there’s a height restriction of 5ft 2 (157 cm) in place due to the size of the bike frames. We do not have other bikes for hire. The closest place to hire bikes for children is Off Beat Bikes in Fort William.
The weather's not great, can I get a refund?
We like to call the rain “Scottish Sunshine”. Here in the beautiful mountains, it rains almost every day!
All of our activities are all-weather, so we recommend dressing appropriately and getting stuck in. We promise that a bit of rain won’t stop us from having a really fun time!
Where will we go on our Segway tour?
Our segway tour is unique in that we have so much ground to cover on our Private Highland Estate!
We begin at our Home Base, where everyone will be guided individually onto their Segway and allowed a little time to get acquainted. From there, we head down the main drive to our specialist Segway Practice area. Here, we master the skills of hills. The open area allows the opportunity to build up some speed and see how that feels (if you like!).
After we’re all feeling confident and ready for a new adventure, we head out around the main track. Over a mile long, this winds through the forest, over ancient railway bridges and past stunning mountain and loch panoramas. There are plenty of opportunities for pictures in the epic landscape and your guide will be happy to take some of your group.
Is parking available at Woodlands Wellness & Activity Centre?
Yes, there is plenty of parking available at both Woodlands Wellness and the Activity Centre; however, if you’re staying at one of our luxury lodges then the both are just a five minute meander from the accommodation.
Do I have to be a guest to use the facilities at Woodlands Wellness?
Whether you’re staying at our luxury lodges or elsewhere, everybody is welcome to indulge in treatments and massage at Woodlands Wellness. Simply book your treatment here and enjoy!
Do you have children's seats for e-bikes?
For safety reasons, we are unable to offer children’s seats or a trailer for E-bikes.
Do I get a helmet when I hire my bike?
Of course! With your bike hire, you will get a helmet, map with suggested routes, waterproof pannier, bike lock, and puncture repair kit.
Can I hire an e-bike for longer than one day?
Yes! Please give us a call to arrange a multi-day hire.

Is there anywhere to eat & drink on the Woodlands Estate
Yes, Kitchen Food Truck serves breakfast & brunch daily from 9am – 12pm, while dinner is available every evening from 5pm – 8pm. The Clubhouse Bar serves coffee, draught beer / cider, cocktails and local spirits daily from 1pm – 9pm. The Food Truck & Bar can be found right next to the Activity Centre.
