Katie's Top tip

"Summer tends to be a busy time here. I'd suggest booking your activities in advance to make sure you get to tick off everything on your Glencoe wishlist."

Segway tours ⚙️

Segway is an amazing, self balancing platform that gives an extraordinary “magic-carpet” experience. Being on a Segway is easy to pick up, yet it’s so different to anything you have ever done before!  Glide with us through the woods to connect with nature like you never have before. Because people of all ages find it great fun, this is a really good family activity… even for grandparents!

Easy to master, and fun to ride, you’ll never want to walk again!

Archery 🏹

Step aside Katniss, move over Hawkeye! Join us for an archery session and you’ll be hitting the target in no time. With a little friendly competition, you’ll soon find the motivation to aim for the bullseye!

From beginner taster sessions to more in depth sessions for accomplished archers, our fully qualified instructors are here to make sure you have lots of fun while picking up some new skills along the way.

Electric bike (e-bike) hire 🚲

The Sustrans Caledonia Way passes right through the estate, offering miles and miles of stunning, peaceful cycle tracks to explore right from our doorstep.  Head off down towards Oban, passing historic Duror, beautiful Appin and easily diverting to Lismore Island.  Alternatively, head up behind the estate to explore the trails in the Glenachulish Woodland and to get a great view over the point where Loch Linnhe meets Loch Leven.

Our e-bikes help ease the strain when riding uphill, allowing you to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Our team will ensure you are properly kitted out and will point you in the right direction, or better still take them with you with our Guided E-Bike Hire.

Laser-Clay Shooting 🥏

Fire authentic, 12 gauge shotguns – converted to shoot harmless infrared beams – with no nasty kick-back or big bang! Clays are fired from a launcher and up to four players can shoot at the same time. When a shooter scores a hit, the beam is reflected back to the gun and registers a “HIT” on a big scoreboard. Authentic sound effects enhance the experience. The computerized scoreboard tallies up hits and allows several different forms of competition to take place, catering for all levels of expertise.

Face off against your friends, family or colleagues as you compete to rise to the top of the scoreboard. From beginners to seasoned shooters, everyone will gain something from this exciting experience.

The eBikes are great fun and super easy to use. You get them the whole day so could make a proper day trip out of it. They recommend some routes for you or you can find your own way. We just went a short trip along the loch to the Holly Tree hotel for lunch, but would have gone further afield given time. The staff as ever were lovely and helpful.

We had never ridden segways before. Vince our guide made us into segway riders in a very short time. We absolutely loved driving around over bridges and down and up hills. I would thoroughly recommend this to everyone. Thanks again Vince.

We had an amazing time on the segway experience, I was very anxious before the event being aged 60 and never having done this before but Katie was amazing, very reassuring and we were soon zooming around the beautiful countryside with confidence having great fun. The only negative is now my husband wants to own one!!!

My wife, my 16 year old son and myself booked and took part in the archery activity that’s on offer. We all absolutely loved it having never doing it before. The instructor was incredibly informative and made it great fun.

Frequently asked questions

Segway tours: there’s no age limit; however segway riders must weigh over 45kg. This is because you have to be a certain weight to control the Segway, especially on our fabulous track which goes up and down hills.

Golf:  Under 15s must be accompanied by an adult. There are children’s clubs available for hire, if you’ve left yours at home!

Archery: 6+ If you have younger children and they’d like to come and watch, they are more than welcome and we can make it fun for them too!

E-bike hire:  A minimum height restriction of 5ft 2 (157 cm) is in place due to the size of the bike frames. We do not have other bikes for hire. The closest place to hire bikes for children is Off Beat Bikes in Fort William.

Laser clay shooting:  6+. If you have younger children and they’d like to come and watch, they are more than welcome and we can make it fun for them too!

We like to call the rain “Scottish Sunshine”. Here in the beautiful mountains, it rains almost every day!

All of our activities are all-weather, so we recommend dressing appropriately and getting stuck in. We promise that a bit of rain won’t stop us from having a really fun time!

Our segway tour is unique in that we have so much ground to cover on our Private Highland Estate!

We begin at our Home Base, where everyone will be guided individually onto their Segway and allowed a little time to get acquainted. From there, we head down the main drive to our specialist Segway Practice area. Here, we master the skills of hills. The open area allows the opportunity to build up some speed and see how that feels (if you like!).

After we’re all feeling confident and ready for a new adventure, we head out around the main track. Over a mile long, this winds through the forest, over ancient railway bridges and past stunning mountain and loch panoramas. There are plenty of opportunities for pictures in the epic landscape and your guide will be happy to take some of your group.

For safety reasons, we are unable to offer children’s seats or a trailer for E-bikes.

Of course! With your bike hire, you will get a helmet, map with suggested routes, waterproof pannier, bike lock, and puncture repair kit.

Yes! Please give us a call to arrange a multi-day hire.

Yes, we offer a great selection of Activities and Experiences gift vouchers.  You can see our range here.  These make the perfect gift for the little (or big!) adventurer in your life.
