Glencoe in December
Glencoe in December isn’t just picturesque; it’s a winter wonderland that feels like a scene straight out of a snow globe. Imagine frosty branches sparkling in the sun, snow-dusted peaks towering over you and crisp, invigorating air that feels like it’s been gift-wrapped and sent by the North Pole.
Worried about winter travel or wondering if there’s enough to do? Fear not! Despite the frosty weather, the roads and railways are well-maintained with gritters and snow ploughs keeping things running smoothly. And while the pace may be slower in December, there’s still plenty to eat, see and do – with many places welcoming your four-legged friends, too!
So, let’s dive into five fantastic reasons to bundle up and visit Glencoe this month:
Magical accommodation
Looking for the perfect cosy escape? We’re not being biased, but the Woodlands Estate offers a fairy-tale setting that’s as enchanting as it gets! From private sunken hot tubs and chic lodges to crackling fire pits and breathtaking loch or river views, it’s a haven of peace and romance. Thinking of spending Christmas here? Spectacular scenery
Fewer crowds, no pesky midges and a dazzling winter light that dances off the heathered hills makes December one of the best times to admire Glencoe. We guarantee that every snap you take will be Instagram gold!
Cosy pampering
Come and embrace Woodlands Wellness, where rest and renewal take centre stage. Indulge in luxury bespoke massage and treatments or unwind during a one-hour session in our wilderness sauna surrounded by nature.
While winter works its magic on the landscape, it can be a little less kind to your skin and for those staying on the Woodlands Estate, your private hot tub is just steps away! The perfect place to sink in, breathe deeply and extend the relaxation a little longer.
