A double proposal at Woodlands Glencoe
Remember last month’s incredible double proposal story? Well, with “engagement season” having officially kicked off, we thought we’d treat you to another tale of impressively synchronised romance. Meet Lauren & Emma, who, unbeknownst to the other, both planned on proposing in Glencoe at exactly the same time!
How it all began
Lauren & Emma first visited us in 2020 and like so many of our guests, they were looking for a serene and romantic retreat to recharge and reconnect. From their first encounter with RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges, they fell in love with the magic of the place. Emma later shared that Woodlands Glencoe “was immediately one of [their] favourite places to visit”.
Fast forward one year and the ladies had booked a romantic getaway to SeaBeds Luxury Lookouts. Once the reservation was set in stone, the cogs of their minds began spinning! Could their stay at SeaBeds be the perfect moment to put a ring on it? Answer, YES!
Of course, neither of them knew the other’s plan, and when Marketing Manager, Katie, received an email from both ladies asking if she could help them plan the perfect proposal, she nearly fell off her chair! Thankfully, our Katie has some seriously masterful coordination skills and took it all in stride, managing both plans while expertly masking her knowledge of their overlapping intentions! She later confessed: “I had to keep a straight face while secretly rooting for both of them”.
On the big day, the SeaBed was festooned with rose petals, balloons and champagne. Emma had a beautiful sparkling ring safely ensconced in her bag and was all set to propose to Lauren, but had to nip back to the car as she’d forgotten something. When she returned to the lodge, Lauren called to her from the bedroom where Emma found a ring box positioned in the centre of the bed! Emma said: “I really could not believe it. If I ever needed confirmation that Lauren was my person, a proposal at the same time would cover that”!

Fast forward to today: Emma & Lauren are now happily married!! When the time came for their friends to celebrate their love, they knew exactly what to buy them for their wedding present – a Woodlands Glencoe gift voucher of course!
