For example, there’s no specific breakfast time – if you order breakfast, an insulated hamper of fresh pastries and other goodies is simply placed quietly outside the door each morning, no need to leave your lodge.

One of the things guests love about staying at Woodlands is the relaxed independence. Each lodge has its own private space, and you can be as secluded or as social as you want. It’s your adventure, your rules! However, if you need some friendly assistance, or recommendations, our team is never far away. A simple phone call, and we’ll be by your side to help with whatever you need.

The pedigree starts from the earliest design of the lodges; to construction with sustainable materials; to the deepest of insulation. Everything, including the hot tub, is heated by air source pump and even the driveway to your lodge is made from re-cycled road materials! You might have noticed our on site electric vehicles nipping around too?

More delightful is the nature all about you. We’ve planted trees, supported wildlife, protected paths and burns – all to make this parkland more special, and leave a positive legacy for future generations. Frequently asked questions

When do I pay for my stay?

All non-refundable bookings are paid in full at the time of booking.

Free cancellation bookings pay 10% at the time of booking and the remainder 14 days before arrival.

Why is it more expensive to stay for 1 night?

The price of 1 night stays reflects fairly the work required in turning a lodge and hot tub around quickly between guests, for one night only. You might have noticed that no other lodges with hot tubs in Scotland offer this (for good reason – it’s a lot of work!). Here at Woodlands, we understand that time is the biggest luxury of all, and sometimes we only have 1 night to get away. Which is why we move the Earth to make this possible for all of our guests.

Staying 2 nights or more, you can save over £100 per night. So, if you have the time, we recommend stretching your stay out and luxuriating in your hot tub for a little longer.

Can I bring pets?

At Woodlands, we love your furry friends and they are very welcome to join you on your stay with. Read more about our pet friendly lodges with hot tubs here.

We do ask for a £50 contribution to cleaning costs (per stay not per dog / night).

Please remember that our Wee RiverBed lodges are not, er . . . big. You alongside two Deer Hounds might find it tight.

If you are bringing your furry friend and would like to have them up on the bed, please bring a dog blanket to protect our lovely sheets!

When is check-out / check in?

Check-in is normally from 4pm (with hot tub warm and toasty for 7pm); Checkout normally by 10am please. Early check in of 3pm and late checkout of 11am are available for a small fee (subject to availability).

Can I add extras and goodies to my reservation?

There are loads of things you can pre-book to make your stay even more magical. From a blazing fire pit to an amazing E-Bike (we just love electric bikes!). Please click here to browse and order.

Can I add extras and goodies to a friend's reservation?

Absolutely! Elevate a loved one’s stay by gifting them something memorable. Your chosen gift will be waiting in their lodge for when they arrive alongside a personalised message from you.

Is there a shop nearby?

Although it feels like we’re a million miles away from anything, there’s plenty of shopping options nearby. The local village Co-op contains all the essential and it’s just a 5-minute drive away. Further afield, there are several large supermarkets in Fort William, which is a 20-minute drive away.

I want to book using a voucher

If you have one of our own, Woodlands Glencoe vouchers, you will need to contact the reception team to book. Email them at stay@woodlands.scot with the dates you are looking to book and the details of your voucher.

If you have an ITISON, SecretEscapes, or any other third party voucher, please follow the instructions on the voucher on how to book.

Do you have any special offers?

Special Offers are available, especially out of the main season, and for Sunday to Wednesday arrivals.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

The cancellation policy depends on the type of booking and the package offered. We do offer refundable rates and non-refundable rates. Our free cancellation rate is more expensive than our non-refundable rate, and allows you to cancel up to 14 days before arrival and receive a full refund. This means that if you want to change your date and you are still more than 14 days before arrival, we can accommodate that for you. There may be a difference to pay between your original reservation and your new reservation which will be discussed and agreed before changing your reservation.

We recommend that all guests carry travel insurance to protect against personal emergencies outside our control.
