Christmas getaways at Woodlands
Silence, snow and lots of ho ho ho! This Christmas, why not disappear from the chaos and immerse yourself in a Woodlands Luxury Christmas instead? Treat yourself to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at either RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodges, SeaBeds Luxury Lookouts, or Forest Corner Luxury Hideaway.
To give our wonderful team a chance to enjoy the big day too, we don’t allow check-ins or check-outs on Christmas Day. That means if you arrive on Christmas Eve, you’ll be staying for a minimum of two nights, but really, could there be a better excuse to linger a little longer?

Christmas Eve
Check-in and chill-out from 4pm in the cosy confines of your luxury lodge. A traditional festive welcome awaits with a Christmas cocktail, a twinkling Christmas tree and mince pies.
Say CHEERS to a fuss-free Christmas from the bubbling depths of your own private hot tub.
Get the fire-pit roaring and cosy up beneath the star-scattered skies while you look out for Santa as he races over the mountains and through the glens.
Christmas Day
Awake from your festive dreams and indulge in the bountiful breakfast basket that was silently dropped off outside your lodge.
Between the croissants and granola, look out for a gift that Santa may have left for you, but only if you’ve been good!
If you’re a stickler for tradition, Christmas Dinner is available to at the Ballachulish Hotel (not included in the rate), which is just a short 5-minute stroll away. Advance booking is essential.
Boxing Day
It’s time to say goodbye! After breakfast indulge in one last soak in the hot tub before you head on your merry way. Or if you can’t bear to leave, just stay another night!
Take in the exceptional scenery and head out on one of hundreds of nearby walks as you make your way home.
From the romance of Glencoe Lochan to the majesty of the Three Sisters, what better way to wave a festive farewell to a magical Christmas.

It's oh so quiet
Christmas at Woodlands is a truly magical experience, as you’ll pretty much have the place to yourselves.
On Christmas Day, we like to give our staff a well-earned break to enjoy the holiday, which means the Woodlands Estate is even more peaceful than usual. There will be no staff on-site during this period, but we are just a phone-call away should you require anything urgently. That’s why, when you book a Woodlands Christmas getaway on 24th and 25th December, you’ll be treated to our best possible rates (and maybe even a mince pie or two!).
Further festive information
If you’d like a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, both the Ballachulish Hotel (5 min walk) and Onich Hotel (5 min drive) will be open to non-residents on Christmas Day. It is essential that you reserve a table in advance if you can. For further information on where to eat and things to do in December in Glencoe, check out this blog.
For all other essentials, the Co-op in Ballachulish will be open from 10am – 8pm on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.
