Enjoy a Woodlands Glencoe Festive Getaway

Have you been good this year? If so, you deserve a Christmas like no other!

Silence, Snow and Lots of Ho Ho Ho! 🎄✨

If the thought of another chaotic Christmas has you feeling flatter than a gingerbread man, why not swap the bustle for something a little more magical? A Woodlands Glencoe festive getaway is gloriously different from the norm: think fizz, hot tubs, sauna, starry skies and as much peace and quiet as you can handle.

A Woodlands Christmas isn’t about frantic cooking or untangling fairy lights, it’s about slowing down, cosying up and enjoying a little luxury with the people you love most. Whether you choose a RiverBeds Luxury Wee Lodge, a SeaBeds Luxury Lookout or a Forest Corner Luxury Hideaway, you’ll find yourself in your very own festive wonderland.

A very peaceful Christmas awaits

We feel strongly that the wondrous Woodlands team deserve a festive day off, so there will be no check-ins or check-outs on Christmas Day. That means if you arrive on Christmas Eve, you’ll be staying for a minimum of two nights. But honestly, who’s complaining? More time to lounge in a fluffy robe, sip fizz and soak up the Highlands in all their frosty glory. With the estate blissfully still, you’ll feel like you’ve got the place to yourselves. It’s the Woodlands you love, but quieter, cosier and just a little bit more magical.

Your choice of festive hideaway

SeaBeds Luxury Lookouts: Perfect for couples or small families, with space, style and incredible views. Slip into your hot tub, pop the fizz, and start your mornings with a breakfast basket.

The Home at Forest Corner: Gather the gang! This festive haven sleeps up to five. With a spacious living area, a private hot tub and complimentary bubbles, it’s Christmas made simple.

The Apartment at Forest Corner: Cosy and designed for two. Hot tub under the stars, fizz at the ready, robes for lounging.  What more do you need?

Your festive itinerary

Christmas Eve
Check in from 4pm to a warm welcome: mince pies, a Christmas cocktail and a twinkling tree. Slip straight into holiday mode with a fizz-fuelled hot tub session or cosy up by the fire pit to stargaze.

Christmas Day
Wake up to a breakfast basket brimming with festive treats; croissants, granola and maybe even a surprise from Santa (if you’ve been good).

Still craving turkey and trimmings? Book into the Ballachulish or Onich Hotel just down the road for a proper Christmas feast.

Boxing Day
Start with one last soak in the hot tub before heading home, or don’t! Why not extend your stay and explore the winter wonderland outside your door. From the dreamy Glencoe Lochan to the mighty Three Sisters, the Highlands have never looked better.

Good to know…

Wellness: The Woodlands Wilderness Sauna is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (self-service — bring towels and water). The perfect way to recover from mince pie overload!

Shops: The Co-op in Ballachulish is open 10am – 8pm on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day for any last-minute bits.

Festive feasting

A quick little reminder that Kitchen Food Truck will be closed over Christmas, meaning there will be no lunch or dinner options on the Woodlands Estate. But don’t worry, this just gives you the perfect excuse to do Christmas your way!

Plenty of our guests love to stock up on a spread of picky bits, pop open a bottle (or two) and hunker down in their lodge, forgetting the world outside. After all, nothing says luxury Christmas quite like grazing in a bathrobe with fizz on the side.

That said, if a traditional turkey-and-trimmings dinner is firmly on your festive wish list, you’re in luck. A handful of local eateries will be open and taking reservations on the big day, but be quick! Tables around Glencoe fill up faster than Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve.

For the easiest option, you’ll find The Ballachulish Hotel (right next door) and The Onich Hotel (a 5-minute drive away).

Both will be serving up festive feasts on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but spaces are limited, so book as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.

Book today!

Christmas at Woodlands is one of the most magical times of the year, but it’s also one of the most popular. Our festive hideaways tend to disappear quicker than Santa up a chimney, so if you’re dreaming of fizz in the hot tub, twinkling trees and mince pies by the fire pit, don’t hang about. Book today to secure your spot, otherwise you might just find yourself with a blue Christmas instead of a white one!
